Emsworth Sunset Giclee Print

Description

Emsworth Sunset is the view from the bottom of South Street in Emsworth across the Millpond and down the harbour towards Thorney Island. The rich deep teal and warm ochre, orange and navy hues were created using oil based printing inks and applied using a roller onto a acetate “plate’. The plate was then put through an etching press with dampened Somerset paper on top. The image was transferred onto the paper. Once dry the next stage was to create a detailed hand drawing of the view which was transferred to a screen and then a black acrylic ink was used to apply the line to the finished image.
